I came across this article today that was written because of the death of Sean Taylor. THIS should be the focus of the media, Jesse and Al. VERY good article and it explains what SHOULD be done. So sad that news outlets will not report the truth about this stuff and they focus more on racism, BLAH BLAH BLAH! They should take a cold hard lesson from this black columnist!

This was an excellent article. Thank you for sharing the link. What a difference it would make if people got over their "poor me" mentality. Opportunity abounds for anyone willing to work for it. It does not matter the color of one's skin, just your willingness to be better. Perhaps if others read this article, they will start to reflect on themselves.

I thank you also. Mike Church read this article in it's entirety this morning. I'm gonna have to archive search Mr. Whitlocks' articles. appearently. He's real and has made some very good points.

I just got around to reading the editorial and I found it very interesting. After working in the public school system for several years and still working with my husband who is a teacher in the public school system, I agree with what was said. But this not only goes for the Black youth of America; the white youth of America are becoming the same way now. They have the same attitudes and the same ways of thinking. In my opinion, we are facing de-evolution in our society and it is a scary thought.
I remember reading Lord of the Flies in High School and sometimes think that each generation of youth are slowly progressing towards turning into the kids in that book.

May I say wow? I did see the documentary on Little rock he was talking about, and one of the first black students to go there came back to talk. She was deeply bothered by the way the students were seated in the classroom- blacks on one side, whites on the other.

PS My brother has liked this writer for a long time.
