They alerted us that morning and we responded to the call that morning. whether they had prior knowledge or not is unknown but if they did they did nothing until that morning.

What I do know is that my young daughter was removed from where she was supposed to be ( in class ) and held for 6 hours without myself or my wife being notified. School authorities claimed she admitted to taking a “controlled substance” and still no phone call. Chickasaw police came in and asked the kids “what di you take, how much did you pay for it, who did you get it from?” which where I am from is followed by “ we are placing you under arrest”. When she asked to be able to call home, she was refused. What it boils down to is that school employees held my daughter that they suspected to have been under the influence of any kind of “controlled substance” and allowed civil authorities to question her in a potientialy criminal matter. They did not contact me immediately , and refused to let her contact me upon her request. Whether legal or not, a serious breech of trust has occured. If I had taken your child from the front yard where you allowed her to play and held her in my house for six hours and refused to let her go , or to call you to let you know that I thought little billy gave her a roofy. Tell me that you wouldn’t be pissed off.My daughter was accussed and determined to be in violation of the code of conduct that she and I promised to obey. I am not arguing that point. What is more is that I consider her punishment fair and hope she learned a very valuable lesson about breaking an aggreement she made with her school. Don’t think that she is not in serious trouble for getting herself removed from school. The point that I object to is the manner in which the school and the police dealt with whole situation. Especially when the school had called my wife not thirty minutes before her being removed from class concerning an error in her attendance record. Oh yeah , her statement she made did not say that she took anything, it said someone gave her something. The school could not produce the substance , because she was not caught in possesion of anything. The only actual proof they had was hearsay from a scared little boy hoping to rat enough people out to get himself out of trouble. If this was a courtroom it would have been dissmissed from lack of any kind of evidence. I don’t know about in the United States of Chickasaw , but in the rest of the country this is considered a violation of her rights as a human being. I thank you as a father , because now my daughter is determined to someday be in the position where these same people will have to account for their actions towards her.

The little boy did not rat anybody out.  When the little boy was questioned and was asked who he sold or gave stuff to he would not reply.  It wasn’t until the principle started calling off names did he begin to say what he sold or gave to who.  The rat was not the little boy.  The little boy was well aware of the fact he was in serious trouble either way, if he named names or not.  This child just like all the others are all good kids and from what I know of most of them they all come from good well rounded families.  Kids make mistakes, they are good kids that made a bad choice.  Some of which will follow them for a very long time.  Let’s just pray everyone learns from this.  I will agree with the fact that I would have liked a phone call instead of a letter, however whats done is done.  Lets all try and re-enerate to our kids not to get involved in this kind of stuff and we won’t have to worry about them being questioned by anyone.

Well since there are always these “manufacturing plant” attorneys who know all about rights and violations, I hope that all will work out for you with whatever you choose to pursue against whoever. I guess that admitting to obtaining the pill at school is okay because no one can prove that she took it right?? As was stated before, speak with any attorney, detective, police chief or even one of our wonderful Supreme Court Justices and they will all tell you the same thing..... a witness is not being charged with a crime and therefore does not have to be read their rights. That is not a violation of any rights as a human or U.S. citizen. Maybe the school board could handle things different but on school property they don’t have too. It may not seem fair but that is the way their rules are structured when on school board property. Even when the school in question is in the “United States of Chickasaw” as you so adultly put it.

I have a son that attends clark. No he was not involved in this but I agree that I feel like the school should have sent a letter home informing parents that this has happened and parents can talk to there children concerning this problem. Concerning the kids that got kicked out of the school i really truly feel like the school done the right thing. This is not a slap on the hand offence.  To the 14 year old girl that has posted a comment on here I feel like your parents needs to teach you how to speak to people.you need your mouth washed out with soap and water.

You have to understand that my daughter is very angry. She did not take anything, but these kids at clark are now calling her a drug head. Is that fair? Somebody needs to wash their mouths out. Because the last time I checked Advil is not illegal. If it was my daughter would be in jail. And everyone would be considered a drug head.

Believe me she has learned her lesson. First of all I have taught both of my kids to have respect. But I also believe that you give repect to receive respect. She only disrespected the person that called her mother uneducated. If you knew my daughter you would know that she is a very respectful person. In her eight years at school I have always been told that she was a treat to have in class, never any problems until clark.
And if you would have hit your kid you would be the one in jail.
