Which is all well and good I guess since it's evidently so disturbing to so many people. But I think it's interesting that only five women were arrested...the prostitutes. Since it takes two people to engage in prostitution I wonder why the sting operation didn't round up the men who solicited the women as well?
I imagine the "johns" weren't arrested because usually in a sting operation there aren't any. An undercover cop pretends to be an average schmuck and puts himself in a position to get the working girl to make an offer. When they get her on tape offering to bump naughty parts in exchange for legal tender, an army of vice cops come in and slap the cuffs on her. And they aren't those fun kind of cuffs you buy over at the G-Spot.
Stings like this are often called entrapment, because an actual crime doesn't take place. The cop never intends to complete the transaction, and not just because it would be considered a luxury on a policeman's salary, or that they usually prefer to exchange leniency to hapless traffic violators for that kind of thing.
Which makes me wonder: if we can get arrested for bad intent, shouldn't we get rewarded for good intent? I mean, I've been intending to trim the hedges for some weeks now, and also donate half my yearly salary to the United Way. I think a medal should be in order.
When I worked at QMS many years ago; I used to see a young lady with long blond hair hitchicking up and down Schillinger Rd. She was there almost every day for a couple of months before dissappearing. I assume the police finally drove her away, but it struck me odd at the time that she was working that area.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they are now working Old Pascagula Rd; the area has grown quite a bit. And from what I hear there are several cat-houses disguised as massage parlours in the area as well. I wonder how long it will take before they are shut down.
There are ladies-of-pleasure everywhere...often in the last places you'd expect to find them. Where I work, we have a regular who's been around for as long as I can remember. I've watched her walk the same beat...in freezing weather, rain...wearing different little hooker outfits, getting older and more beat-down looking with every year. Whenever a few weeks pass and I don't see her I begin to worry that something terrible happened to her, but then she'll always reappear. When that happens I like to imagine she was on a little vacation, somewhere pretty and peaceful and away from everything she knows and has to put up with here.
Lots of folks would just say she chose her life, no pity for her. And I guess that's true. In the beginning she did choose to do what she does but I'll bet she never expected it to be a life career. And now after all these years, how could she do anything else?
And chances are one day she'll disappear for a couple of weeks and those weeks will stretch into months and then she'll disappear for good and I'll never even know what happened to her.
why are women, prostitutes always the underdog. It takes two. Go arrest the men. These are business women. Arrest the men, and oh by the way arrest every man that brings home a paycheck and the expects the big "O" because his woman did not get a paycheck but lived up to her responsibilities while being taken care of. Go figure........
Just to let you know, the men are arrested in undercover operations also. Female officers pose as prostitutes. There are also undercover drug stings. Prostitution is everywhere. Drugs are everywhere. The two go hand and hand. If you look at these people, most are not trying to "work" to support a family, but a habit. Look at their teeth, if they have any, their faces-many look 10-20 years older than they are all thanks to meth and crack. NAB, if you are seeing someone dressed in "hooker outfits" it is probably a he-she (a man, pretending to be a woman), acting as a prostitute. The female ones usually wear jeans and t-shirts and do not dress up- the men(women) do dress up, put on make-up and fix their hair. The he-she's usually have a regular job, and do this as a sideline to live out a fantasy. The reason I know all this, 20 plus years being married to a cop, coming from a law enforcement family and working as a community health nurse all over Mobile-I see 'em everyday, everywhere. Hopefully when they arrest these people, they will be able to uncover their dealers and get them too. And hopefully if they stay in jail, it will prevent the spread of STD's that they are rampant with because they are too drugged up to be responsible and use "protection" or insist that their "partner" does.
The police may not have driven her away-these chicks are click at avoiding cops, and trying to talk there way out of obvious solicitation. Many times, my husband would tell me about telling prostitutes to get off the street, and they would hide until the police car was out of sight. Most likely, she disappeared from a drug overdose,or deal gone bad. Their life-span is short, as their choices are poor.
Hookers Go Down Duh! If not they would be out of a job! Altough I'm sure there are many people who would pay them just to talk. You know like buying porn to read the articles. I'm sure tere are people out there that can't have a wholesome conversation with their spouse, so these street ladies are all to eager to fill that intellectual shortage. What an interesting conversation that might be.
heck yea, where are their fathers brothers sisters and mothers? jesus christ is the father of all man...so we should try to get these girls off the street and show them that there is somebody here to show them light. Drag them push them pull them shove them toward a better place don't put them down when their already down......
I do agree that they need to see the LIGHT. But they have to want to change too. There are programs all over to get them out of this situation, and into a legal job and off drugs-Wings of Life, Home of Grace to name a few. They need help, they need counseling. But they need to be OFF the streets-it is illegal and dangerous.

Well they maybe business women, but I should doubt the majority of men would expect to use any other "business" and bring home a STD or other deadly diease to thier families.
And for the hubby expecting a big O from the wife (or significant other) what goes on between husband and wife is sacred. Sexual satisfaction should be welcomed and expected from both sides. If you have a problem giving a hubby that big O, then there maybe other problems in the relationship. And if hes out there busting his fanny while the wife is home, I see that as the least a wife can do in return. If you love the person your with it should be a pleasure, if its a chore, find out why....
