I wanted to send you a private message but alas, couldn't find a way to do so, so I'll just do it here.

I'm not sure how we got off on the wrong footing but I know I'm not blameless in the way our board relationship has deteriorated. I apologize and hope you and I can forget the disagreements we've had in the past and move forward in a friendlier way.

Thank you. I would like that. I think it is perfectly acceptable for both of us to have our differing opinions. I don't claim to know the answer to everything, as I am sure you don't either. Perhaps by listening, we may actually learn something from each other. For example, I did appreciate what you said about the SPCA. I am sure they have many good functions and many good volunteers, such as yourself. I just know in my situation, and from other people that I know, that issues have not been addressed. Perhaps some of this is not the fault of the SPCA, but the system in general. That being said, we are actively looking for solutions to the problem and not just griping about it. I hope to "talk" to you on other forums.
