Is anyone out there having as much difficulty with Apple I phones & the local AT&T;stores? Were you aware that Aplle doesnot empower the local AT&T;stores to make ANY refunds or exchanges locally. I purchased a new Aplle I phone May 23. It is VERY poor equipment. I began making formal recorded complaints on June 13th (Informally in the store reps made suggestions & asked me to give it time.) I Still have not resolved the issues. Who has time to spend 39 minutes (the shortest call yet) to one hour 46 minutes (the longest yet)? I have wasted 4 trips to the local AT&T;corporate stores (by directive from a phone rep) only to be told their hands are tied. This is a critical use phone I am on call 24/7 for patients with IV's at home.
For the amount of money we spend for these phones this is ridiculous.

and i will try and help you with your iphone. its a very different peice of equiptment and a little tricky to master, but wonderful if you get the hang of it. att doesnt really support the phone tech wise , apple does.
Thanks, I will. I have been made very aware that AT&T;does not support the Apple i-phone. The latest in my struggle has been Monday: 2 special trips to the corporate store at the direction of Apple & AT&T;only to be informed by the store they could do nothing. Then 1hr 35 minutes on the phone with Apple & AT&T;. Tuesday, the loaner phone sent to me erased all my notes & contacts! 2 hours 30 minutes on the phone with Apple- no result- data lost. Wednesday: 2 hours 15 minutes on the phone three- way only to be told that even though I was PROMISED brand new equipment, they had actually entered my phone into repair. $500 for a phone that never worked decently- they refused to replace until after all the repair steps by phone had been done & now they will not replace it because it's past the remorse date. As medical professionals, we do not treat you with meds for appendicitis, then make you wait 2 months & put your old one back in after we "clean it up". You as a consumer would not stand for that!
Still unresolved since May 23rd & counting....

your notes and contacts should have resynched to your loaner fomr outlook or outtlook express, anyhow, i can probably help you one problem at a time when you get time to send them to me. since the new software upgrade my phone has been acting slap nutty. and its taken a while to identidy and call about the problems i have experienced. its really a great product, i just had to get used to it transferring from a pc to an apple product. i am all ipod, its a great product. i now only have to grab one device when i head out of town instead of a pocketful, and it meets most of my needs, and with time you wil probably tink the same thing!
you ought to try contract nursing, less work, way more money, you work when you want to and then no responsibility. my phone hasnt rung in two weeks for work and wont until i run out of money.
Hi!!
This is sam brown .I want to know more about the new apples iPhone, its features, about its battery , its camera and more. Most important of all is its price whether it is resonable or not
Update: i-phone disaster:
Last Wednesday I was assured after a three-way phone call with Apple & AT&T;that I would receive a "BRAND NEW" ( Not Refurbished!!) i-phone. I now am able to hear the party to whom I am speaking if I place them on speaker phone. I called Apple service, the technician cannot resolve the problem & informed me the phone I received was indeed refurbished- COMPLETELY CONTRARY to my agreement with Apple. Once again, my Apple is a lemon and I am waiting again to be directed on when & how to replace a phone. Day 65 after spending $462.25, my telephone still does not work!
its a pretty decent phone, especially if you are an apple supporter and ipod or mac user, but the windiws interface is aatisfactory, there is a learning curve, its not a dumb phone ir a phone that you can just pick up and use any more than a palm or blackberry is . (Except for rudimentary operations like dialing) however its a pretty tight community and the other owners will help when they can. buying one definitly puts you in a club, whe you whip it out you still get a lot of ohhs and ahhs. there is some controvery about the price drop after the new phone came out, the data plan increased by 10.00 a month over the life of the phone 240,00 wich actually increases the cost by 40.00 but the increased service, (GPS or location services 3g, makes it worthwhile.) att was getting its behind ate up by the unlimited data and across its network now that it has us all as subscribers on cell, high speed, and cable tv over phone lines they find themselves lacking the infrastructure or getting more possessive over the bandwidth they sell us each month. its a good buy and a great appliance, i often find myself taking just that out instead of a notebook. checking prices in wal mart the other day saved me 79.99 NS wal mart honored the price over shown on my iphone.
Thank you for taking time to reply; but, I am not having a problem learning to use the phone- because I cannot get one that will hold a call long enough to use it. Did I mention the only way I could hear the person I was speaking to was to put it on speaker phone? Once again AT&T;and Apple agree that it's an equipment problem. 3rd one with equipment problems.
I agree it will be a GREAT phone if I can ever get one that will dial, hold a call through to completion, have a coverage area , and that I can hear the person I'm talking to.
My question is- Is anyone getting this run around between Apple & AT&T;besides me?
Thanks.
let us know how it turns out. although there have been bumps along the road mine has worked okay, and i have been not estatic but satisfied with mine. best of luck.
are you by any chamce using a blue tooth ear piece or the wired headphones that came with it? if you are using blue tooth are you using the apple one or another type. curious. if this is a coverage area issue after three seperate phones they should just let you out of the agreement it would seem and then you could find a carrier that offers better service. aqgain best of luck and keep us posted on what transpires.
