The State Police need to crack down on aggressive drivers, i.e. tailgaters. Yesterday I was driving in heavy traffic. The guy behind me is tailgating me and making hand gestures. Finally he goes around me and tailgates the guy in front of me. He then make several more lane changes cutting off others and providing many more hand gestures before I made my turn.

I figure this guy probably lost his license years ago. He doesn’t care if he hits somebody, after all, his car was worth about 100 bucks with a full tank of gas, and if he injures someone, you can’t really sue him because he already owes several women child support. Basically, we need our State Police to pull these “Aggressive Drivers” over. If they don’t have a license – TAKE THEM IN! Ruin their day just like they are trying to do to everyone else. I am sorry if I seemed alittle selfish on blameing all motorists it just upsets me that from what I have seen and heard from others that some people think they are invinsable and don’t care about other people on the road.  All of my friends that have died recently have been killed by people pulling out in front of them and I have cars ride my butt trying to get me to go faster.  I am a safe driver whether in my truck or on my bike and I wish there could be some kind of advertisement on being safe drivers whether in a vehicle or on a bike.  I agree that there are a lot of bikers who like to go fast and I am NOT one of them.  The ones I do know do go really fast and I warn them all the time about it.

I figure the best advertisement would be one in which a NASCAR driver explains how different the city streets are from the closed track. The commercial could show him driving in traffic and he could say “always have 2 seconds between you and the guy in front of you”. He could explain how only a retard would tailgate on the open road. Here is a trick you can play on a tailgater. If you see road debris, say a dead dog, wait until the last second to go around it. He will hit it dead on. I did this once to an A-hole that was tailgating me, and it was a really big dog too. I don’t think the dead dog minded one bit, and it did teach the guy a lesson.

well anyway they sure do look good sitting in the garage mext to that riding lawn mower. i got my first one in 1984 for tooling around military bases, where the speed limit was twenty five MAYBE 30 in spots, and the drivers were more aware. it was a lot nicer to get on a motorcycle in fatigues (BDU’s now) than getting in a hot car, so it made sense for me. fast forward twenty years and i have an 86 bike, that still does pretty well traveling up the driveway to check the mail and occasionally going to the river to swim after yard work. cut grass in your trunks, ride to the bottom of the hill and jump in. i rarely go out on the public open road, its just too dangrous. i do run into riders on the causeway who will run at or slightly below th eposted limit n the left lane who aggravatge the stew out of me, insisting its thier right to be there. yeah but just like the cars slower traffic keep right. a few months ago i was east bound at the tunnel in the far left lane going about 70 in a 65 and a motorcycle came speding up behind me flashing is lights. i touched my brakelight to let him know to slow down, i wasnt going anywhere, and traffic was thick he needed to slow down. he whips past me and pulls in front of me and puts his brake on. he is on a motorcycle i am n a dodge 3500 you figure it out. yeah i would have felt guilty for about a second. when i got off in malbis he follwed me in and berated me for not pulling over for his flashing light. i just showed him my cattle gaurd and brush plagte and told him if he wanted to try them out to do it again. he never gpt either point, flasing your lights whil approaching someone at probably near 100 miles per hour is stupid and dangerous, pulling in front of a 3500 lb truck driving 70 and flashing your brakes can be deadly.

motorcycles are dangerous, so are the regular cars and trucks, be careful out there. i might even carpet that part of the garage for mine where it sits, it sure looks good next to my deere rider.

Clay City, someone did something similar to a friend of mine driving a 18 wheeler scrap truck. Something flew off the back and hit their car, and instead of trying to get his attention to pull over, they pulled in front and slammed on their brakes. He let them know real quick that it could have cost them their lives. There are idiots in every bunch, but most riders are respectful on the road, and I try to be real careful around them.
