Though we may not be offering a finger to you here, we will try to leave that for the billboards and try to keep this civil. With that said I think It would be nice for us as two very different communities to come together in peace and discuss the issues that concerns us all. We see a few Boeing/Seattle user-names appear frequently as well as other obvious non local visitors here on this site. Let's all speak our minds here and try to better understand some of the misleading accusation's from both sides. Since you are here, why not have a place where you can feel welcome to come to visit. This is intended to be a fair and respectable gesture.
If the Air force remains focuced on rewarding the deal to the company that will deliver the best plane with the greatest capabilities, EADS/NG will again be rewarded the contract. And that's what any country should want for their military in a time of WAR. Right?
Fair and respectable. I like that. Unfortunately, from what I have seen and heard, those that are involved with Boeing do not understand the meaning of those words, nor do they have the interest of our country at heart. The interest seems to lie only with padding their pockets, and acting like a bunch of whining, tantrum throwing two year olds. Forgive me if that was not a fair and respectable estimation. My southern hospitality slipped for a moment.
I would really like to see the contracts side by side. I would also like to see the process laid out, as to how they started the bids, etc.
yes we are all mature, we just do not like boeing, i have been to boeing war rooms and am amazed at the bull do do being posted about airbus and mobile. so i promise you after reading some of the comments about mobile, i will never drink at starbucks, buy any seattles best coffee, and of course i will would never buy a washington state apple. now i hope you return the favor and not buy our oil. it would be nice for people in seattle , chicago, kansas, to pay double for their fuel because they have so much pork money.
