There is an email going around about the new dollar coins, "In God we trust" is not on it, I havn't seen one. Is there any truth to this or has anybody seen one?

That is incorrect. It does have "In God We Trust" stamped on the side rather than the front or back. And if I may make a suggestion, each time you write a check, Print " In God We Trust" somewhere on that check.

nothing brings out paranoia quite like religion. even if the coin didn't have "In God We Trust" printed on it, it wouldn't make this a Godless nation. God and spirituality will always be a part of our nation. Freaking out over crap like this only makes Christian Americans seem pushy and whiny. chill out and stop acting so damn paranoid.

I absolutely agree with this. Spirituality and religious beliefs are personal. Few things are more irritating - even to Christians - than in-your-face folks riled up in a religious fervor, loudly proclaiming to others the right, only way to believe. It's almost like some people are so insecure with their own faith they fear that faith everywhere is faltering.

I'm stopped counting (or opening) forwarded e-mails from some of my friends because I know they'll be nothing but paranoid claims about this and that and such and so working to suck God out of our deteriorating world and if I'll just forward this to fifty of my friends then we can let all the Godless heathens know that we're not going to take this lying down.

I think God would be happier if each of us loved Him in our own way and stopped worrying about whether or not everyone else feels exactly the same way we do.

I just posted a question about the coin, I could care less either way. I believe in the good Lord, but, bottom line people will spend and accept money without the words on it. I can't stand religious zealots myself. Thanks for the opinions.
