So we hear that once again men have been arrested for approaching other men for sex in the great outdoors. I don't get it. Is this just a gay man thing or what? Yes, I know when we're young, having sex on the beach is magical. In the woods, on a picnic...things might happen. But why do homosexual men always seem to seek out partners for their interludes in parks and public places?
Is it the thrill of possibly being seen by others? Is it the excitement of maybe ending up in handcuffs and being frisked by a burly officer in uniform? And this behavior is specific to gay men. You don't ever hear about them rounding up a herd of lesbians at Pitcher Bog. (Or anywhere else.) It's just the men.
I don't understand why they just can't go to a gay bar, pick up somebody, and go home. Or to a motel. You know, like heterosexuals have been doing forever.
It's such a mystery.
