I am new to forums and am totally uneducated in the "Language".
Examples:
-I don't even know how to set my public profile!

-Thanks to Wayne225, I just learned what an avatar is!

But the search engine is what has me baffled! How do you find a post that was there earlier today and cannot be found by any of the words in the title? I searched all the forums, then searched individually! Nothing!

Any info on either of these topics will be appreciated!

Hi Grammy and welcome.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'll try to help with your questions.

Go to Your Control Panel in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. That will take you to a place where you can add or edit your public profile.

The search engine is not as good as I'd like it to be, not only for the message board but for locating news articles. Not sure what that's about. It may work better if you try searching for content words within the message rather than the title. What are you looking for? Maybe I can help you remember if you'll tell me the topic or what the post was about.

I am working on consolidating our Search for the forums, news and the entire site wide search to one location. Right now the Search box on the Forums only searches within the Forums.
