police and fire protection by city hall politicians despite objections from irate citizens: it’s outside city limits and pays no property or sales tax at all!!  Like everyone else they pay electric bills—reportedly $37,000/mo—but 90% of that goes to Alabama Power to buy the “juice”!(city only keeps $2,000). At this rate, it’ll be 10 years before they repay us for the transformers and other electrical equipment (reportedly $200K worth) citizens had to buy to hook them up! What a sweetheart deal—no wonder people are suspicious!

If Wal-Mart (or anyone else) wants to continue receiving city services,  they need to annex into the city and start paying their fair share of taxes instead of mooching off beleagured in-city residents already reeling from huge property tax hikes :mad:

Walmart sucks I say everybody switch to target. Watch your vehicles the technicians total them and watch your children they get hurt in the store and walmart want even talk to you. My daughter slipped and fell in he Saraland Walmart I feeled out an accident report by the store manager at the front of the store this happened on the drink isle the manager didnt even go to that isle they told me to take my daghter to the hosp and they would take care of her dr bills. She went to two hosp, orthopedic surgoun and her pedritican (for referells) She missed two weeks of school. She had several fractures in her knee and a torn ligament she stayed on crutches for a while. Walmart told me they would conduct an investigation watching the vidoe of the fall the insurance investigator called me and said that the video has not been seen and Walmart is not responsible for slip and falls. But added that she clearly fell inside the store as the investigator was told of her screaming and an employee helped me get her into a buggy from the floor to be transported to the nearest ER…. They will not let anyone see the video so I would like to know what they are hiding she told me that was Walmarts property and me,my lawyer or noone else would see the video.. Seems to me Walmart is clearly responsible and Im stuck with all these medical bills.. Im giving Target my business from now on. Maybe I’m missing something that’s not clear in your post, but unless WalMart was deliberately negligent in some way, I don’t understand why you think they should cover your daughter’s medical expenses.  Though you say it seems to you “WalMart is clearly responsible”, I see no evidence of that in your post.

If your daughter (or you) is convinced that WalMart contributed to her injuries in some way, then call one of those attorneys who advertise that you pay nothing unless you recover damages.  That way she’ll be out nothing if she loses.

Maybe I’m missing something that’s not clear in your post, but unless WalMart was deliberately negligent in some way, I don’t understand why you think they should cover your daughter’s medical expenses.  Though you say it seems to you “WalMart is clearly responsible”, I see no evidence of that in your post.

Im sorry I forgot to add that the floor was a bit wet not soaked but there was a small spill that I reported to the employee. there was a walmart employee that seen this well I havent seen her since. And then a few yrs back they were changing my oil and tires at walmart and when I came out i had a totaled vehicle that no one took responsibility for.. I had to buy a new vehicle. I have called around to lawyers and they listen and sound interested until you say Walmart then they say Sorry I cant help you. My daughter fell as negligent acts of Walmart there was a spill and it is their fault. I wouldnt say anything if the actions were differant. Its a differant story to the poor man they get sued for every little thing that they work hard for and these multimillion doller company’s get away with anything. Im not asking for money or to get rich. just like with my car I went and baught another case closed but as to my daughter i was out gas money as I live an hr from all these drs and she has alot of dr bills coming in atleast walmart could do is pay half the medical bills. i dont want anything else from them at all. but i know they get my hard earned money every week for groceries, meds and clothing but they dont care enough for the customers to help out with medical expenes when the ijury happens in there store because they were to lazy to clean up a mess that customers dont reconize until after they slip.. for god sakes one bill was $2500.00 and thats just one i have a total of about 5k and they arent all in yet
