Woman’s Baby Boy Found Wandering The Streets

Florida Pensacola A taxi driver found Sarah Miller's 2-year-old boy wandering the streets of Pensacola around 3:30 Thursday morning.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office says charges are pending against a mother after her baby was found wandering the street in the middle of the night.

A taxi driver found Sarah Miller's 2-year-old boy wandering near the intersection of Gulf Beach Hwy and Navy Blvd in Pensacola around 3:30 Thursday morning.
The driver took the child to a nearby IHOP and called 911.

The Department of Children and Family Services came and took custody of the baby.

The investigation lead deputies to Miller. They were in the area of her last known address when Miller turned herself in to the jail.

Miller was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Deputies have not said how the baby ended up wandering the streets. Charges in that case are pending the outcome of the investigation.

This has happened to my sister, but I think she reacted a little differently than this lady. She lost her mind, when we got to her house to wait on the police she was runnig up and down the street screaming his name, I thought they were going to have to call an ambulance. Thank god we live in such a small town and someone recgonized him, he said he wanted to go to walmart to get a toy.

I do not see how this could happen w/ a 2 year old. Not unless she just had regular locks & not a deadbolt then he unlocked it & left while she was sleeping.
