FORT PIERCE, Fla. (AP) - A woman decided to go to jail rather
than pay her bill at a Fort Pierce Waffle House restaurant. The
total she went to jail over: $7.45.
According to a police report, Maryanne O'Neill, 66, ordered
coffee and a sandwich at a Waffle House restaurant on Saturday but
refused to pay the bill. The report says an officer asked her to
pay or go to jail and she refused.
A jail official says she was released Monday from the St. Lucie
County Jail. She is charged with obtaining food or lodging with
intent to defraud, a second degree misdemeanor. If convicted of a
second degree misdemeanor she could face up to 60 days in jail and
a fine of $500.

I don’t know if a personal message will still get by but I’ll try in a few minutes to see if it will if you get the time to check.

Yes, I will miss the continuing tale of the meandering fence.  Will also miss the opportunity to tell everyone goodbye and good luck at that board.

It takes time and perseverance and i believe he had his hands full on a few other things. We were improving on the topics to talk about and the variety. Now we’re gonna miss out on the lastest installments on Claycity’s FENCE WARS.

Takes time to grow a message board and most have a central theme people are passionate about and that supports the basic chit chat.
. Even this site with the advantage of media promotion took a long while to build a following.  Not that many people even participate now on a regular basis.

More like premeditated eating.I guess she could always offer to give it back to them if they really wanted to pursue it.surprised

I think it turned out to be too much work and not enough participation,You know the numbers game. You gotta have the numbers to make it work.

From the SunSentinel.com, she finished her meal and then said she was “going across the street to see a friend and would be back shortly”. She had no intention of paying for her meal. If I did not have any money and I was hungry, I would have asked someone first if they would pay for it because I just sat down and ate and then would not pay.  That is like “pre-meditated stealing??”. smile

Carl - I even made myself hungry talking about all this breakfast food!
. What happened over yonder?  Someone get mad or upset at someone?

If I had been there and saw what was going on, I would have offered to pay the bill.  If I had been one of the cops, I would have paid her bill.
. Unless there is something else going on with this.

Alright BamaBob you done gone and done it.I got hungry talking all about this food.If I go up there and eat and not fork over any money they’d have to put me away for life for my bill. Think I’ll just go ravage the kitchen, even the roaches run for cover when they see me with a knife and fork in hand.surprised
