
According to the Sheriff's Office, 19-Year-Old Donald Stelly and 17-year-old Tanner Fincher walked into the the Winn Dixie on Highway 90 in Pace around midnight, stuffed two bottles on wine in a backpack and tried to leave. But they were confronted by an employee.
The employee grabbed Stelly and took his backpack. Deputies say Stelly then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the employee. Stelly also demanded the employee give him the backpack, but the employee refused.
Stelly and Fincher ran out empty handed and sped away in a Chevy El Camino. They were pulled over a short time later by deputies.
Both teenagers are charged with armed robbery. Fincher was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Pensacola. Stelly was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail and is being held on a $51,000 bond.
