Underage Drinkers Try To Shoplift Wine

Florida Milton MUGSHOTS: Police say one of the teenagers even threatened to stab a store employee who caught them in the act.

Two Santa Rosa County teenagers are arrested for trying to steal wine from a grocery store.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 19-Year-Old Donald Stelly and 17-year-old Tanner Fincher walked into the the Winn Dixie on Highway 90 in Pace around midnight, stuffed two bottles on wine in a backpack and tried to leave. But they were confronted by an employee.

The employee grabbed Stelly and took his backpack. Deputies say Stelly then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the employee. Stelly also demanded the employee give him the backpack, but the employee refused.

Stelly and Fincher ran out empty handed and sped away in a Chevy El Camino. They were pulled over a short time later by deputies.

Both teenagers are charged with armed robbery. Fincher was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Pensacola. Stelly was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail and is being held on a $51,000 bond.

I work at a local Winn-Dixie and we were hit by 2 of the same type kids today. They will be caught though, since they were stupid enough to go out an emergency exit that sounds a loud siren…so a co-worker ran out the exit behind them and got their TAG NUMBER….idiots….you’re supposed to remove your tag before you commit a crime.

Let’s think for a minute here! I’m not no genius, but if I were gonna try to pull off a heist, or a shoplifting, I sure would not do it in a rare car such as a Chevy El Camino! HAHAHHA, they really didn’t think that through, or didn’t think they’d be caught! How many El Camino’s could there possibly be around Pace?

Glad you liked that one. I just do not understand why people want to make things harder on themselves than they already are. Do not tell me they could not find some other upstanding 21 + year old to buy it for them or some sales clerk that wouldn’t ID them….. No let’s go to Winn Dixie of all places (near closing time if I remember correctly) and try and shoplift some cheap wine. If these are the leaders of our world tomorrow we are in for a world of trouble.

2 Upstanding Citizens stealing the wine from the grocery store and threatening the employee with a knife…... Priceless

Let’s see I bet if they would have counted out their change they could have bought the wine and would not be looking at a $51,000 bond plus jail time…..
