Teen Turns Himself In

Florida Pensacola  Escambia County Sheriff's Office says 17-year old Kyle Driver the teen accused of killing a newborn donkey's mother has turned himself over to authorities.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, 17-year old Kyle Driver is the main suspect in the shooting of a donkey that left one baby donkey orphaned. Authorities say he turned himself in shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday night. He is expected to be charged with animal cruelty, using a weapon during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

Authorities say Driver fatally shot the donkey shortly after she had given birth. News 5 caught up with the baby donkey turned orphan Tuesday. He is named J.B. and veternarians are keeping a close eye on him. They are waiting to see if he'll get strong enough to survive. His new foster mom says he is being bottle fed every hour.
