SARASOTA, Florida (AP) - A former Sarasota teacher accused oftrading sexual test messages with a student is slated to go to
trial.
Forty-eight-year-old Ronald Barche is scheduled to appear in
court Tuesday for the start of the trial on two counts of using his
cell phone to seduce a child.
Barche was the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps teacher at
North Port High School when he was arrested in August 2008.
Police say he exchanged explicit messages with a girl about to
begin her junior year. The girl also sent the teacher naked
pictures of herself.
Barche has pleaded not guilty.
