Student Who Had Sex With Teacher Suing School District

TAMPA, Florida - A former student who had sex with her
Hillsborough county teacher is suing the school district for
failing to protect her.
The lawsuit alleges the school didn't properly investigate
Jaymee Wallace before her hiring and didn't immediately tell the
girl's parents when it discovered the relationship. Wallace taught
the girl math and coached her in basketball.
The victim asked the court in 2007 not to put Wallace in jail,
but the girl's parents insisted on it. She was sentenced to three
years in prison and three years probation after pleading guilty to
lewd and lascivious battery and unlawful sexual activity with a
minor.
The lawsuit filed last week says the girl suffered
"embarrassment, mental anguish and physical illness."
A school spokeswoman said the district doesn't comment on
pending litigation.

Well, the thought never occured to me to tell my girls not to have sex with their teachers. As to my knowledge, that idea never crossed their ignorant little minds either. They have done a lot of stupid
things but we can’t always blame it on the parents. My mom never told me not to have sex with the teachers either. I doubt that ever crossed her mind or mine. Ya never know what kind of gene pool you’re dealing anymore. And science worries about antibiotics mutating. Might need to study the new drugs.

Sorry, but I knew kids in school years ago that had Affairs with Teachers because they thought it was such a “Hot thing to Do” and believe me…. the Students played the Biggest Parts in it!

JMO sorry I’m with the kid on this one. Maybe she could be suffering from post tramatic stress disorder. You can’t just make assummutions without hearing or knowing all the facts, and you know what maybe they should be tougher on the hiring laws and background checks.

I agree mob1. That is the problem with society today, it is all about greed and money. Why not sue the parents for not teaching her right from wrong?

So no two years later she all of sudden is suffering from Embarrassment, Mental anguish and Physical illness….. I think the only reason she is suffering from such is that her Parents and Lawyer kept telling her this until she believed it herself… I call BS in this case.
