Storms & Poor Planning Cause Deadly Plane Crash

Florida Panama City The plane crashed in a remote section of the Panhandle two years ago killing four members of a Panama City family and a Fort Walton beach pilot.

GREENHEAD, Fla. (AP) - The National Transportation Safety Board
says a combination of bad weather and bad planning by a pilot
caused a plane to crash and kill five people in a remote section of
the Panhandle two years ago.
Four members of a Panama City family and a Fort Walton beach
area pilot died on the Dec. 22, 2006. The twin-engine Cessna
crashed in an isolated forest near Crystal Lake about 90 miles west
of Tallahassee in Washington County.
The NTSB released its probable cause report on Sunday. The
report cited "improper planning" and "continued flight into
known adverse weather" as the likely causes of the crash.
