PENSACOLA, Florida - Police are looking for a man they say attacked a Sonic employee with a steak knife.According to Pensacola police, a 30-year-old man, who works at the Sonic Drive-in on North Ninth Avenue, was approached by a man in the parking lot of a nearby business. he asked the Sonic employee if they were hiring and then asked for a dollar.
When the Sonic employee said he didn't have a dollar, the man tried to reach into the employee's pockets. The man then pulled out a steak knife and swung it at the Sonic employee, cutting his shoulder.
He swung the knife a second time, but missed, before he took off without any money. A steak knife was recovered at the scene.
The suspect is a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5'10", 180-190 pounds. He has a dark complexion, with braided hair and was wearing a white sleeveless tank top and blue jeans. He also had some type of tattoo on his right shoulder.
