could be her lol .  i had an employee tell me about it and it ate thru a fence. said she read it in the newspaper. my son said being florida no telling what has been brought in. maybe an anaconda, not sure of spelling.

it is only walmart being reported. could be a history with others ,just not in the news. snake with teeth in Fl? whats old Janet Reno up to now? only Fl mud snake i know with teeth.

our yard man killed a rattle snake on some property we have on airport. just funny its only walmart.

In 47 yrs of hunting ,fishing,gardening,goofing off and living on the Ms/Al gulf coast. I have seen the pygmy rattler only a few times. The coral snake only twice. I have seen snakes that are not aspose to be here.I was attacked by a 5’ coach whip in Gautier Ms in 1972. It sat up striking at me like a cobra. It freeked me out so bad ,I forgot I had my BB gun in my hands. I must have run half way across the side field with that thing chasing me like a cobra till I remembered I had the gun with me. I turn and shot it three times before it died, striking at me after each shot. I found a western hog nose in the back yard at Cottagehill and ashwood in 1978. Countless venomus and nonvenomus snake commonly found here in south Al/Ms. Why Wal mart ? maybe it does happen but they are just not being sued this week?

lol ickthus , you know a lot. i love snakes. i just do not like surprises. most of the time they bite out of fear, so i guess they do not like surprises either. dont we have pigmy rattlers here. funny how it is only walmart that is having the problem. i mean look at lowes, home depot, garden centers. why just walmart?

I remember my grade school Princapal getting me and a few other boys to chase black snakes out of the halls of the school, before class change on hot fall days. ( no A/C in school in those days ) A black snake will bluff you with charging after you. I don’t know who had more fun when the snake would chase us ,Mr.Tanner or us boys. Snakes like cool places in the heat of the day. shaded concrete or tile floors will draw them . The pigmy rattler is not more deadly by venom but by size. It is less noticed untill to late and you get bit. I do believe the eastern diamondback has the most toxic venom in rattlers and can deliver more because of its size. not all pit vipers will deliver venom when they bite. I think it like 1 in 3 bites will leave you with enough venom to cause a reaction. I’m not Marlin Perkins ,but i did stay in a Holliday in last nite

i never buy plants from walmart, thank the good lord.

They get into potted plants in the garden center. Make sure before you stick your hand in a “full” plant, there is nothing inside it!
