Skateboarder Struck in Escambia, Florida

Florida Pensacola  Sunday night wreck critically injures skateboarder.

A skateboarder traveling westbound in the 6400 block of Nine Mile Road in Escambia County, Florida, was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same direction. Florida Highway Patrol said 16 year old David Lutz of Pensacola was laying face down on the skateboard and paddling with his hands when he was struck by David Johnson of Pensacola Sunday night about 8:30pm. Lutz was flown by Lifeflight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola where he is listed in critical condition. No charges have been filed.
