I am writing to you because the whole story needs to be told regarding the Warrington shooting.  John William Lile’s mother is a friend of mine.  Tuesday night I, she, and some other friends were downtown celebrating Fat Tuesday.  We were at Intermission when her telephone rang and she was told that her son had been shot and killed.  Our designated driver drove us to what I assume is where her son lived.  She of course was hysterical.  (Yes, we had been drinking) When we got there, she wanted to know where her son was.  The Escambia County Sheriffs were rude to her and threatened to arrest her.  I could not understand why they were being so mean to her.  I stepped in and said that she just wanted to know where her son was.  They threatened to arrest me.  The whole scene was crazy.  Anyway, our DD and I got in the car and drove around to see if we could find the park.  We got lost in the neighborhood and I was concerned about where we were.  I called 911 and spoke to the Escambia County Sheriff dispatcher; I explained to her the situation she was not helpful at all.  I ended up hanging up on her.  When we got back to the house, my friend was not there.  I asked where she was.  Believe it or not, the Escambia County Sheriff arrested her.  I was outraged.  How could they be that cruel and inconsiderate?  This woman just found out her son was murdered and they arrest her???? The charge: disorderly conduct??  Please, tell me, what is wrong with picture??  Our DD ended up bailing her out of jail that night after paying a $500 bond.  I went home crying and cried all day yesterday.  I still can’t believe that they took her to jail that night.  I am hoping you can get some answers for me.  I am afraid if I ask, I will be arrested.
