Burglary Suspect Stages Standoff

Sacred Heart Hospital Santa Rosa County Sheriffs Office Standoff Deputies looking for a robbery suspect found gunfire instead they called in the Swat Team.

An investigation is underway in Milton, Florida where authorities say a man shot himself during a standoff.
Santa Rosa County investigators say a lead involving a rash of home robberies led them to a house along Trail Ride South this afternoon.
When deputies entered the house, they heard a gunshot come from the back of the property.
Authorities say that's when 21 year old David Ryan staged an almost four hour standoff against the Swat Team and Sheriff's deputies.
Several tactics were used, including tear gas, before Swat Team members made their way in.
"He was bleeding from the head, it appears he has a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head. However, he was alive and he was conscious and able to speak a little bit to Swat Team members,"Said Sgt. Scott Haines with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.
David Ryan was Life Flighted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola were he is listed in critical condition.

Again with the repeat post… I will say this about Milton though I have heard more out of Milton Florida in the past 6 months than I have in 38 years. I mean 1) Granny with hundreds of Lortab and Soma 2) Major fire of historical landmark 3)Pilot jumps out of plane only for it to crash land in Milton 4)Swat team deployed twice in two days for disturbances at residence. Geez what did I miss? I mean everytime I turn around it is Milton or Pace in the news.
