Robbers Steal Elderly Man’s Cane & His Wife’s Purse

Florida Robbery Police need your help to catch two armed men who robbed the elderly Fort Walton Beach couple in the driveway of their home.

FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida - The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help to catch two armed men who robbed an elderly couple in the driveway of their Fort Walton Beach home.

According to investigators, two men ran up to Lester & Irene Grout's car when they came home the night of September 20. One of the men demanded 70-year-old Irene's purse. When she refused, the man reached in the car and grabbed it.

74-year-old Lester tried to defend his wife, but the other gunman pushed him to the ground. Lester then tried to use his cane to defend himself, but the robber took it and Lester's glasses.
