Rapper Tone Loc Collapses At Pensacola Beach Club

Florida Pensacola Beach  The Escambia County Sheriff's Office says it appeared that Tone Loc who performed the 1980s hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina" collapsed and had a seizure due to overheating.

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say rapper Tone Loc,
who performed the 1980s hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold
Medina," collapsed during a performance in north Florida.
Tone Loc, who was born Anthony Terrell Smith, collapsed early
Friday morning at the Capt'n Fun Beach Club. He was taken away in
an ambulance.
A spokesman for the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said it
appeared that Tone Loc collapsed and had a seizure due to
overheating.
Calls to area hospitals did not show patients named Tone Loc or
Anthony Smith. Calls to the Capt'n Fun Beach Club were unanswered.
