Police & Volunteers Search For Missing Alzheimer’s Patient

Florida Pensacola  Pensacola police say James Straughn wandered away from a retirement community Thursday morning.

Pensacola police and volunteers are searching for a missing Alzheimer’s patient.

Police say 66 year old James Straughn wandered away Thursday morning from Westminster Village, the retirement community where he lives.

Police were notified around noon. Volunteers from Escambia County Search and Rescue and personnel with Life flight helicopter are also helping with the search.

Straughn is 5'3", 140 pounds, with salt and pepper colored hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue short-sleeved pullover polo shirt, dark blue pajama pants, black slippers, and glasses. He also is wearing an Alzheimer’s bracelet.
