The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has identified the man found floating in Choctawhatchee Bay.

A passerby spotted 66-year old William Richey of Choctaw Beach in the water Friday morning. His car was parked on the northbound side of the Mid-Bay Bridge between Destin and Niceville. The engine was still running.

Coast Guard crew members attempted C-P-R but were unable to revive Richey.

The Sheriff's Office says Richey was a well-known interior designer in the area.

Okay, did he fall?  Was this a suicide?  Did someone push him?  I don’t know the area but it just seems strange that a man is found in the water below a bridge with his car still running….  Is there more to this story?
