PETA Protesting Hurlburt Field

Florida Shooting The animal rights group does not like how medics at at Air Force Base use pigs to simulate treating combat wounds. PETA says the exercises involve stabbing shooting and killing the animals.

HURLBURT FIELD AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AP) - The animal rights
group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is protesting a
Panhandle Air Force special operations base.
The organization wants some answers for Air Force officials
about how its medics at Hurlburt Field use pigs to simulate
treating combat wounds.
PETA researcher Shalin Gala says the exercises involve stabbing,
shooting and killing the animals.
But Dr. Mark Ervin, the base's medicine division chief, says the
training saves lives by giving medics a feel for treating massive
trauma to vital organs.
He says animals are used infrequently and that the military is
sensitive in how they are used.

I say give them to PETA and let them gas them to death ,how can they tell the us army what to do ,when they gas and kill ever animal they get there nasty hands on ,answer this why do they kill 90% of all the dogs and cats they get and 100 % of the chickens even the baby chicks and bust the eggs ,these people peta needs set strate by the US Goverment .

Some Medical Schools use Pigs too. A live victim bleeds if you make a mistake it dies. a cadaver doesn’t bleed and is already dead. Cadavers are used in anotomy class. The live victim is used to see if the doctor is trained well enough to treat the patient with out killing it. a Surgeon can’t fully learn the hands on procedure with out a living breathing patient. The pigs are sedated with Morphine or other IV fuilds, including paralytics.

well maybe the people at PETA will take there place? better yet,there are a few at Getmo we need to do something with now. lol ok ok All joking aside. If one of these pigs can help save one of our kids , go for it. if you run out of pigs we can find more. any chance of a BBQ open to the public soon?? I like kraft with molasses. I find the darker ,sweeter stuff better on pork. what do you like on pork?
