The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has arrested a convicted felon wanted for murder.

Deputies say Wendell Hurley broke into a mobile home on Blue Angel Lane Sunday morning and shot the homeowner, Timothy Thames. Since then, people in the neighborhood have been staying in a hotel because they didn't feel safe with Hurley on the streets.

Hurley is being held without bond.

The Sheriff's Office is not releasing any more information about Hurley's arrest. They're still looking for his alleged accomplice.
