FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - Standard toothbrushes are out at the Lee
County Jail, as officials try to take a potential weapon out of
inmates' hands.
This week, the jail is bringing in brush tips that fit on the
finger.
Sgt. David Velez says toothbrushes are among the most commonly
altered items found in cells during random shakedowns. Staffers
remove anything being used for purposes other than what was
originally intended.
The move wasn't sparked by any recent events, Velez says, but as
a precaution to protect both inmates and officers.
About 700 unused, hand-held brushes at the jail will be donated
to the Children's Advocacy Center, which works with abused and
neglected children.

Oh my you are cracking me up!

LOL Carl!!! I was thinking the same thing…..a minty fresh feeling!!!!  wink

I’m sure they’ll find something else to put that finger brush on and new ways to use it.grin

But, I am sure there are many prisoners that would like to take good care of their tooth.

Good for them for taking preventative measures.  No need to wait until someone is seriously injured or killed
