Just like any other flu your age is a determination of how you will react to it. I do not think panicking is going to do much good, but for my 2 years old’s sake I would rather be safe than sorry. I just keep getting the info I need from my step-dad to see what precautions I need to take since he works at Mobile Infirmary. He is not the type to get all hyped up unless it is necessary. Just do like everyone does every flu season and keep hands washed and watch what the little one is doing and attempting to put in her mouth when at the store.  Had someone’s kid run up to mine and try to let her lick off their sucker!!! No clue where the parent was.

Southernmama, you are correct! The “regular flu” kills about 30,000 people in the United States each year.

Here’s the math:
30,000 total people = 600 people per state
600 per state per year = 11.54 people per state per week
This is week 34, so theoretically 392 people in Florida have already died of “regular flu” so far this year. That means “regular flu” theoretically kills 664% more people in Florida than Swine Flu.

Wkrg just wondering how many people have died from the regular flu?? bet it’s alot more than swine flu!!!!
