JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen will be the new football coach at Mississippi State.
A spokesman confirmed the hire to The Associated Press on
Wednesday afternoon. Mullen will be arriving in Starkville later in
the day and will be introduced at a news conference Thursday.
Mullen has been an assistant coach for 14 years and spent the
last eight with Florida coach Urban Meyer at Bowling Green, Utah
and Florida.
The top-ranked Gators won the Southeastern Conference
championship with a dominant offense led by Tim Tebow and will play
No. 2 Oklahoma for the BCS national championship next month.
