Pensacola Police Chief Chip Simmons says people on a wave runner spotted the body of 25-year-old Samira Watkins' about 3:00 p.m. and called the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
Watkins disappeared Thursday night after leaving her 5-year-old son with a relative. Her family says she went to see the father of her unborn child but never returned home.
Simmons says there are obvious signs of foul play and police are investigating Watkins death as a homicide.
