Pensacola police have found an Alzheimer's patient who disappeared from a retirement community.

Police say James Straughn's wife drove down from Roanoke, Virginia and picked him up from Westminster Village.

Police called Straughn's wife, Linda, after talking with relatives. She told them she brought her husband back to Virginia. Roanoke police also went to the home to verify Straughn was actually there.

Straughn was reported missing Thursday afternoon. Pensacola police, volunteers from Escambia County Search and Rescue and personnel with Life flight helicopter all searched for him.
