I never stated that it was childish to express an opinion. I stated that it was childish to twist things around and bicker like schoolgirls.
when someone makes a statement you don’t agree with SCOTTM71 it’s not childish to state your opinion. Everyone is entitled to an opinion even if you don’t agree with it. It would be selfish and childish to let some think their opinion was the only one that there is and that counts, but you are correct in that it left the subject matter thread some where along the line. So I wonder how the crowd for mrs.Obama compared to that of Sarah Palin?
You got most everything you said correct SCOTTM71. Especially that both McCain and Obama are scary. Truth is truth. And the comments got turned to religion because of the “patriotism” and “pride” stuff. My goodness. The Conservatives have used that to turn brother against brother. And you know I am right on that. If a person was really “proud” of their country, they wouldn’t have to bring it up every 5 minutes. Wonder who they are trying to convince, us or themself?
The rather humorous part of this comment thread is the fact that a visit from Michelle Obama, suddenly got turned into a discussion about religion. See, that is what’s wrong with the world today. People just HAVE to get the last word in. If I KNOW I’m right, I don’t have to push the fact. Who really cares what others have to say. It’s just a matter of being the top dog and proving your point. So childish.
Personally, Obama visiting isn’t a huge news story comparatively speaking. Both of the candidates scare me. Voting for the lesser of two evils just isnt in the cards for me this time. Because you still get evil either way you go.
I believe your interpretation of the bible is askew and you lost track some where down the line of the true meaning of the bible. I hold no Ill will because of your beliefs but they are not mine and I believe not of my GOD. We often believe how we see things is the only way they could be,that is a human’s blind spot.Things can be much different from what we believe and what they are. You hang on to your beliefs and I’ll hang onto mine and we both will be happy and time will tell which one is correct. I like the old testament and think it should be a part of everyones life and I don’t see that changing because of anyone else’s beliefs.

Wanna play mind games? LOL!!! You know I never said what you are trying to trick me into. I said that I do not GO by the Old Testament nor do I FOLLOW the Law of Moses. I doubt there is anyone other than a Jew that comes in here that supports the Jews as much as I do. Salvation is to the Jew first. Wanna play mind games? I just don’t believe, I know, that it does not matter what we believe, it matters what God believes. The Lord will judge us by His Standards, not what we believe He meant. The problem in the world today is people care too much about what they believe and very little about what God said. Want to play mind games? I have read the Old and New Testaments several times. I try to live by the New Testament. I read and learn from the Old Testament. Wanna play mind games? No, my friend, you don’t want to play mind games. I don’t start the fire. It was already burning when I got here. LOL!!! You people crack me up. LOL!!!
Whoaa slow down now! give me a chance to soak up what you’re saying! Are you saying that anyone who believes in the old testament and is not jewish is a lair ? You realize that’s pokeing the coals of a fire pretty hard don’t you? I believe GOD gave you a brain to think with and to choose right from wrong and to decide who’s needy and who’s not. I must have missed that in the new testament that said anyone believeing in the old testament and not jewish is a lair.Where exactly is that in the new testament? I would like to look it up read it.

I read the KJV. The original KJV not the new one that has changes so many things to suit the lust of their hearts. I have read the Bible from cover to cover several times. Here is another one for you. A man should eat if he does not work. Of course, that is talking about preachers, etc… But you couldn’t understand that. Anyway, no where does it give us premission to decide who eats or who does not. That verse I said is more of a warning to lazy preachers, etc… It never gives the people the right to starve them. By the way, I am not Jewish, I don’t go by the Old Testiment. I read I and learn, but do not follow the Law of Moses. That would make me a liar who is pretending to be a Jew when I am not. A Letter in Revelations gives a sturn warning against that. The mercy we show the needy and the lazy will help determine the mercy we are shown. The Lord will judge them and us. His Judgement is Just.
2Bornot2b I don’t know what kind of bible you have or whose interpetations you are going by but the bible I have has many verses of the need to labor for your meat.Starting in exodus 20.9 and going right on through the old and new testaments. I’m not what most would call a very religous man but I have read the bible cover to cover and it left a clear impression on me that you should labour for your keep. Are you sure you’re looking at a bible or is it a pamlet you found some where and took it as the gospel?
2BorNOT2B, oh no now you are physic, well can you see in that crystal ball, exactly who is on foodstamps. just think of all those companies laying off people with obamas tax increase on small bussinesses now concentrate put that food stamp card down long enough. thats it, now look at the major companies moving over seas. now what does your physic ability tell you. then imagine no military spending and think what it looks like with russia or iran or chavez taking control. can you see it. now imagine witnessing thisIN MARCH 2003, registered nurse Jill Stanek submitted a statement to the Illinois Senate Health and Human Services committee in which she reported that infants who survived abortions at her Oak Lawn hospital were sometimes “taken to the Soiled Utility Room and left alone to die.” Stanek was lobbying the committee to approve the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002, which would have recognized any infant born alive after an abortion as a human being deserving legal protection. Barack Obama, then the committee chairman, defeated the bill with his fellow Democrats in a 6-4 party-line vote.
