The University of West Florida campus in Pensacola is under lockdown while police search for a murder suspect.

Earlier today, police tried to serve an arrest warrant on Bruce Day. He's wanted for a murder eight years ago in Alabama. Day ran into the woods near campus. Police do not know if he is armed.

Day is described as a white male, wearing a dark green shirt, blue jeans, 5'8", 160 pounds.

Police officers and K9’s are searching the woods.

UWF has requested that all faculty, staff and students stay inside until Day is caught. Students should stay in class and lock all buildings.

All classes for the remainder of the day and evening have been cancelled. Students that are currently on campus must stay on campus.
