The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man they say stole a generator from a bed ridden man.Deputies say Paul Grimes went to the victim's home in Milton back in February along with his wife who is a nurse. While his wife was attending to the patient's medical needs, Grimes stole a generator from the shed.
Grimes called the victim a few days later and said he had borrowed the generator because he needed it for work. But the victim told Grimes to bring it back because he "borrowed" it without his permission.
Grimes never returned the generator, which was valued at $3,200. Instead, they say he pawned it in Pensacola.
Grimes is also a suspect in numerous other thefts in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties. If you know where to find him, call the Sheriff’s Office at 850.983.1190 or Crime Stoppers at 850.437.STOP. Information that leads to an arrest can result in a cash reward of up to $1,000.
