PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Santa Rosa Beach manhas been sentenced to life in prison for his part in a global child
pornography trafficking enterprise.
The U.S. Department of Justice reports that James Freeman was
sentenced Tuesday. He was found guilty following a six-day trial in
January of six counts related to his role in a child porn ring.
Five other U.S. men convicted in the case were given life sentences
last month.
Prosecutors say the men were members of a sophisticated
international network that spread child sex abuse images to its
members during a two-year period. Records show the group traded
more than 400,000 images and 1,000 videos of child sexual abuse
before it was dismantled by law enforcement.
