thanks, Bama. You know, what it boils down to is that regardless of who gets elected, taxes will go up. What I am tired of is everyone thinks Obama is the messiah or something. He is not a great man. he has no track record to be a great man. So far his track record looks pretty slim. He is lying to the people, obviously. He has money..a lot of money and is using it it well to play the system. I guarantee he won’t be spreading his wealth. I’m by no means saying Mccain is perfect, but he is a patriot from a family of American heroes. He has lead men in the worst times of their lives with death around every corner. A man with real leadership and 22+ years of government experience. Personally I wanted Huckabee. He is the only one who had the courage to say this is where I stand and not back down or change his views. A man of real backbone, not playing the party game. Probably why he is not there now.

Thank you.  I am over 65, and I do receive my social security.  And you are right….parents should be responsible for their childrens’ education to a point, and then it’s out of their hands.  Congress does vote on these things, and the Democrats have had a minute margin of majority for the last two years, but if you will research the workings of the government, you will find that’s not a real advantage.  And, let me tell you, there is enough blame to go around to all the parties and the people….we all need to get our children a good education….they are the future of our country.  And I don’t expect the Democratic party to fix everything, but they do have their jobs cut out for them.  And you can go on back, if you want to keep going with the blame game, and you can add another Republican called Hoover, and he did a number on the economy also.  This economy isn’t a new happening for this country; it’s just new to some of us, like me too.

Oh, and as for budget cuts. I hate to tell you that congress votes on those, and the democrats appear to have control last time I checked. As for education, education will not get better until the minimal requirements go up, no matter how much money you provide. Also, parents are ultimately responsible for their children’s education and need to become involved, not expect the government run schools to do it all. See, the demos are playing to the people who don’t want to do, they want it done for them. As long as they keep giving out freebies, nothing will get better. If you want handouts, you need to work until you are 65 and earn them. No adult (that does not have a reasonable medical condition) has any reason why they can not hold a job. Welfare was meant for farmers (when crops were bad) and retirees. No one else should be receiving them, especially people that are not citizens and\ or do not pay taxes to provide those benefits.

Oh that’s right..nothing. He has had corrupt business men and government officials get him where he is today. He can not decide what religion he is, where he was born. He had no idea what his preacher was preaching. Can’t remember where he is, doesn’t trust his VP candidate (why else has he pulled him from the trail?) and forgot how many states are in the union. Good lord, Regan had a better memory with his Alzheimer’s.

Ok, so I am to believe that Senator Obama is going to ride to the rescue and fix the economy that the democrats have broken? Especially since two of his campaign nvestors are Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Lets look at this. Democrats passed the 1977 Community Reinvestment act. The Clinton admin gave Act more power, The Majority Democrat congress pressures lenders to give loans to high risk borrowers which are in turn purchased by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (Federal backed agencies). In 2004 Reps. Waters and Meeks blocked Republican motion to cap Fannie & Freddie (proposed by the Bush admin) and Sen Reid blocked another similar motion in 2006. In 2008 Sen. Dodd praised both Freddie and Fannie. I really don’t think we need the Democrats kind of help any longer. Seriously, how can anyone believe that Obama gives a darn about any of us? At least McCain has fought to defend our right to bicker about the election what has Obama fought for?

cont…  pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more. I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

This is an email I got today from my dad, it was forwarded to him from someone else:
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read “Vote Obama, I need the money.” I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08” tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference—just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need—the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.  At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was…

If Obama raises taxes on companies making over 250k a yr the employer will have two major choices
1. fire/layoff employees to save the money he has to pay in taxes, or 2. Raise the price of his/her goods/services to compensate for the higher taxes.  Either way WE will end up paying for it. If the dems are so great WHY did 103 of them vote AGAINST the first bail-out plan?  BECAUSE they wanted to sweeten the deal by adding thier pork so they get domething out of it.  PLEAS read the bail-out bill that passed, you will see what I mean. Determined and bamagirl, if YOU did your fact checking your stomach would turn over twhat the dems have done to the taxpayers of the U.S.
