The Okaloosa County Medical Examiner's Office says a longtime judge committed suicide.

Judge Robert Barron was found slumped over the wheel of his truck Wednesday in Shalimar. The Sheriff's Office has kept pretty quiet about the investigation, only saying no foul play was suspected. Friday morning, the medical examiner told News 5 the gunshot wound was self inflicted.

Judge Barron graduated from the University Of Alabama School of Law and served on the bench for 30 years. He leaves behind a wife and three children.

It irony. Judge Stuart Dubose would never harm anyone including himself with his guns and he is in jail for buying a gun. Maybe Judge Barron had family problems. It is always sad to know that a man of the law breaks the law.

Be nice BamaBob. It’s terrible that a judge found no reason to live. My sympathy goes out to the family.

Did the stock market get to him?
