The new interim sheriff in Okaloosa County is shaking up the department.
Ed Spooner, who replaced suspended Sheriff Charlie Morris, is eliminating two administrative positions, including Chief of Staff, to save money.
Sheriff Spooner has also reassigned several department heads, requested an expanded fiscal audit and asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to conduct an audit of the evidence room.
Monday, the Sheriff's Office announced it is conducting an internal investigation of three employees.
And last week, Sheriff Charlie Morris was arrested in Las Vegas on theft, bribery, wire fraud and conspiracy charges. He was also suspended by Governor Charlie Crist.
