Rebecca Glover hasn't seen her father in more than four years."He means everything to me," says Rebecca. "He means the world to me and it's hard having him gone."
Rebecca's father, Sgt. John Glover, was deployed to Iraq. John's absence has also been hard for his wife, Stephanie.
"Just ready for him to get home and hold him and be happy together again, it's been hard," says Stephanie.
The Glover's and hundreds of other families gathered inside an empty hangar at Hurlburt Field in Ft. Walton Beach Wednesday to welcome their loved ones home. 200 airmen would soon be returning to the Gulf Coast after serving overseas tours of duty.
The plane carrying the men and women finally arrived...and the hangar was soon filled with laughter, screams of joy and plenty of hugs and kisses.
"I saw them on a web-cam once a week," says Sgt. John Glover. "But it's not the same as being able to touch on them, and love on them."
Happy Homecoming
