The following is a press release from the Escambia County (FL) Sheriff's Office:On 5/31/2009, at approximately 05:40am, Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 735 Blue Angel Lane for a armed home invasion. Upon arrival, responding Officers located a w/m that had been shot. The victim, identified as 40 year old Timothy Thames, was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators were called to the scene and developed suspect information. At the time of this press release, it is believed that two male subjects were involved in the home invasion. Investigators are asking the public to be on the lookout for a w/m named Wendell Ray Hurley (6-23-1985) and an unknown male accomplice. The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Suspect Hurley has an active warrant for armed home invasion and murder.
