Hit & Run Driver Kills Pedestrian In Pensacola

Florida Pensacola  Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the vehicle.

PENSACOLA, Florida - Pensacola police are hoping someone saw the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian.

Police believe 52-year-old Malcolm June was crossing Cervantes Street around 3:30 Wednesday morning when he was hit by a driver who left the scene.

Officers on patrol found June lying in the road. He was taken to Baptist Hospital where he died about 3 hours later.

Anyone with information about this deadly hit and run is asked to call Officer Tony Garza at 850.435.1945 or the Pensacola Police Department at 850.435.1900.

So sad…seems to be a lot of folks getting hit lately-perhaps they should find safer places to walk-like well off the shoulder of the road. And reminder people-if you are going to walk on the road,you are supposed to walk FACING traffic!!!! I run and walk a lot, and it is better to see what is coming at you,so you can REACT if needed. You can’t do that with your back to traffic.

RIP old man. May whoever did this drive fast to a church and repent. God have mercy on their soul.
