FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida - (AP) - The former head of Florida's
Sheriffs' Association has begun a three-year federal prison
sentence at a Forrest City, Ark., prison camp.
Former Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris reported to the
prison Monday. He was sentenced in August after pleading guilty to
fraud, money laundering and conspiracy charges.
When FBI agents arrested Morris in February in Las Vegas, he had
$35,000 in cash. The government traced the money to an employee
bonus scheme in which Morris deposited checks in employees'
accounts and asked for a portion in cash.
Investigators have said the money came from Homeland Security
and Justice Department training grants.
Morris and four other former employees still face state
racketeering charges.

Sorry, I meant to say they celebrate when he is CONVICTED! Anyway-for every bad cop, there are THOUSANDS of good ones.

Typical, bitter doogie. Actually,it is NOT typical, and when a cop goes bad, the rest of the LEO’s celebrate. Go take some pictures or something…

Typical LEO.

As he was law enforcement, there may be some prejudice either way if he were confined in Florida.  Some in the prison system may wish to make his life harder, some may wish to offer special privileges

In Arkansas, he will be just another prisoner.

Why don’t they leave these people in there on state?  They have country club prisons there too!
