Floodwaters Claim More Lives

Alabama Flood  The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says a man is dead after his truck washed off a roadway near Highway 393.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, 75-year old John H. Stevens of Florala, Alabama died after his pickup truck was washed off a roadway and became submerged by floodwaters. Witnesses say they saw Stevens try to drive across a washed out road near Pond Creek Bridge on State Road 393 north of Dorcas Sunday.

Despite attempts by rescuers, they were unable to get to Stevens due to blocked and washed out roads. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

This case is still under investigation.
