ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A first grade teacher in Orlando has beenarrested for allegedly killing her husband in their home 21 years
ago.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement last year reopened the
unsolved 1988 murder case of Clarence Laster. He was found dead of
a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities arrested 61-year-old Delores Laster Wednesday after
a grand jury charged her with first-degree murder.
The wife told investigators in 1988 that she returned home to
discover they had been robbed and her husband was dead in the
garage. But detectives found no sign of forced entry, and it
appeared the husband was shot in a bedroom and carried to the
garage.
It was not immediately known if Laster had an attorney. She has
been an Orange County schools employee since 1969.
