The Escambia County School Board just voted to close one school. Now they could vote to close another.Tuesday afternoon, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) recommended the district also close Edgewater Elementary School.
Thomas says closing Edgewater would impact the fewest number of students and fewest number of schools when they realign the district to accomodate closures.

The Superintendent’s recommendation will be discussed during Monday's special board meeting.
On March 18, the school board voted to close Carver Century K-8 School, despite pleas from concerned parents. The students will either attend Ernest Ward Middle School or Bratt Elementary School.
