its all a scam to take our money, and like good little sheep we just pay them.people need to raise he!!,vote these crooks out of office .

The impound lot is a scam. I’m the lienholder on a vehicle that was taken there on 6/7, they sent me a letter dated 6/22 (when it was at $425 to get out) to let me know it was there…Of course I didn’t get the letter until several days later, when it had accumulated another $100 in “storage fees”. Even tho I’m the leinholder and had nothing to do with it being impounded or not picked up, they will not waive any of the fees, even though I offered to pay the $125 towing that was done to get it to the lot (the car runs just fine…)

I was not saying that this certain group of Parking enforcers were not volunteers. I know what a “VOLUNTEER” is. I was just stating that even when not “VOLUNTEERING” they do not get paid much. Especially considering that most people do not take likely to them. It is even worse for the people that work at the impound lots. You have to have a very controlled temper to work there.

There was a big production about getting rid of the “Parking Diplomats” but they came back rather quietly.  Why is that and what kind of deal was cut?

“Volunteer” means they don’t get paid at all.

Did you know that even though it is not posted ANYWHERE that all of Dauphin St is limited to 2 hour parking? Even in the non metered spaces?

Anyone every see that show Parking Wars. You could not pay me enough to do what they are doing, and you know they do not get paid much.

I don’t think I could cotton to the job of making people mad,but you could get to help some people I suppose,by just your presences there.Don’t want a taser though, just clean up my old 32 police special and put my bullet in my pocket and look sharp.Recon there’s anything against making your rounds with a walker?I mean the kind you hold on to,not the kind that walks the streets.grin

Give that man a TASER!

I love the fact that it’s a volunteer position.  Shouldn’t you actually get PAID to make people mad 2-3 days a week?  ROFL!

looks like another lovely day in Mayberry, hope he keeps his bullet tucked safely in his shirt pocket.
