Elderly Woman Found Emaciated, Soaked In Urine

Florida Neglect She was so neglected that her never-removed shoes had grown into her feet. Police arrrested the woman's son.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say an elderly Port St.
Lucie woman was so neglected by her son that her never-removed
shoes had grown into her feet.
Investigators were called to an area hospital on Saturday after
paramedics found 90-year-old Anna Chuboff emaciated and wearing
clothes "soaked in urine." She had been injured in a fall at her
home.
Her son, 68-year-old Robert Rozenti, was arrested and charged
with neglect of an elderly person. It wasn't immediately known
whether he had an attorney.

No telling what the mother looks like,if that is her son. He looks like he’s been rode hard and put up wet!Wonder if he was getting paid to take care of her or what?

I agree that the son is no spring chicken either and probably has a heck of a time just taking care of himself. Bad, sad situation all the way around…

Red Flags are flying for me with this one… (As a Nurse who has worked extensively with the elderly and has unfortunetly seen this too many times) What you wanna bet… son was not physically or mentally (or both) able to care for his mom….and I bet there are several who KNEW this, and yet did nouthing…

This happens way too often…and people are quick to jump on the “Let’s sue the Nursing Home” bandwagon… which isn’t ( I admit) a perfect solution by any stretch of the imagination…and yet…you see families who let this sort of thing happen all the time…and NOUTHING is done about it.

It’s a crying shame !
